Vesti, a trailblazer in legal and financial services for immigrants, celebrated the grand opening of its cutting-edge Lagos Software Engineering office. This monumental event highlighted Vesti’s unwavering commitment to excellence and expansion within the Nigerian market.
The festivities began with an engaging press conference led by the dynamic Salma Ibra, Founder of Business Week Afrika. The distinguished panel featured Vesti’s visionary co-founder and CEO, Olusola Amusan, the strategic co-founder and COO, Abimbola Amusan, and early investor, the esteemed Major (Rtd.) Adebayo Adeleke.
Olusola Amusan, during the interactive session, passionately underscored Vesti’s ambition to be the premier “Software Engineering Location of Choice.” He spotlighted the company’s commitment to nurturing top talent through rigorous training programs, high employee satisfaction, and numerous success stories. Olusola announced Vesti’s ambitious goal to create over 600 engineering jobs in Lagos in the next two years and an impressive 1,500 by 2027.
“At Vesti, these bold, audacious statements drive our mission to simplify immigration processes,” he declared.
Abimbola Amusan then took the spotlight, focusing on Vesti’s global footprint. He shared compelling success stories, like a Nigerian entrepreneur who expanded to the U.S. thanks to Vesti’s immigration services, and a student who secured funding for overseas studies through Vesti’s financial aid. Abimbola outlined ambitious plans to roll out new products, and services, and extend their reach across Africa, Asia, and North America.

Major (Rtd.) Adebayo Adeleke, brimming with confidence in Vesti’s potential, highlighted the company’s achievements, including a cash-positive status in H1 2024 and significant expansion plans across Africa. He emphasized Vesti’s positive impact on Nigeria’s economy—attracting Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), driving innovation, and creating jobs. The prospects of future funding rounds and a potential IPO added to the investors’ excitement.
Following the press conference, the event crescendoed with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Dr. Olakunle Soriyan, a futurist and social impact investor, officially unveiled the new office, declaring it the Center of Excellence in Software Engineering and Financial Technology. Major (Rtd.) Adeleke hailed Vesti’s role in sparking innovation, collaboration, and human potential in the tech ecosystem.
Guests marvelled at the tour of the state-of-the-art facility, designed to foster collaboration and inspire Vesti’s employees. The new office boasts city-themed meeting rooms, collaborative workspaces, a lounge, cafeteria, swimming pool, and gym.
The day concluded with an exclusive investor parley, where investors gained an insider look at Vesti’s future plans, engaged in deep discussions with leadership teams and networked with other key stakeholders.
