Awabah is excited to welcome Dan McLaghin as the newest member of its advisory board. McLaghin, the former Director of International at Smart Pensions, is set to bring a wealth of experience to the fintech startup.
With a distinguished career at Smart Pensions, McLaghin was instrumental in leading the company’s global savings technology platform. He joined the team in 2016, initially overseeing Public Affairs and International, before shifting his focus to expanding Smart’s international presence and partnerships.
McLaghin’s expertise is not just limited to his tenure at Smart Pensions. Holding an MBA, he has a rich background in policy and business strategy, having served as a policy adviser at the Department for Business Innovation and Skills. In this role, he provided strategic counsel to ministers on business innovation.
Awabah is on the cusp of launching Valubah X, and McLaghin’s insights are expected to be invaluable. His track record of driving growth and fostering international relationships aligns perfectly with Awabah’s vision for expansion.
Joining an illustrious group, McLaghin will work alongside Marie Kyle, CPO at Sikioa, Ugodre Obi-Chukwu, CEO and founder at Nairametrics, and Eamon Carey, GP at Tera Ventures and former MD at Techstars UK. Together, this team is poised to steer Awabah towards new horizons of success and innovation.
